SBCX Registration for Government Officials

What You’ll Learn

By following this guide, you’ll learn how to:

  • Start the registration process on SBCX

  • Verify your email and set up your account

  • Select your government organization and role

  • Complete your registration and request access through OSDBU

Note: Government access requests require approval from the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).

Registration Steps

  1. Select Register

  2. Enter your Email Address

  3. Verify the Validation Code

  4. Fill in your Account Details

  5. Choose your Government Organization

  6. Create a Password

  7. Complete Registration


Step 1: Select Register

Go to the SBCX homepage at https://osdbu.hhs.gov and click the Register button in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Provide Your Email Address

Enter your government email address. SBCX will send a message with a validation code to confirm it's correct.

Step 3: Verify the Validation Code

Enter the validation code from the email and click Continue

If you don’t see the message, check your spam or junk folder. The message is from noreply@mysbcx.hhs.gov. The code is valid for 24 hours.
To start over, click 
Cancel and enter your email again.

Step 4: Configure Your Account Details

Enter your name, title, and phone number. Your username will be your email address.

Step 5: Select Your Government Organization

Choose your organization from the list of supported divisions.

Next, select your Operating Division (OPDIV or STAFFDIV) and your role. You’ll also specify how you’ll use the system.

Step 6: Create a Password

Set and confirm your password. Follow the on-screen password rules to meet security requirements.
You can cancel at this step to pause registration.

Step 7: Complete Registration

Once you've submitted your information, your request will be sent to OSDBU for approval. You won’t be able to sign in until your account is approved.

Approvals typically take less than 24 hours. To speed things up, email the OSDBU Customer Care Center at sbmail@hhs.gov after completing your registration.
